Online Application - The Department of Psychology uses an online application for admission to our graduate program. Complete instructions for the application are as follows:
Indianapolis is one of America’s most livable cities. As the largest city and the capital of Indiana, it is the center for health and rehabilitation services in the state and the location for several large private hospitals and rehabilitation facilities. In addition, central offices for the state agencies in vocational rehabilitation and in mental health are located in Indianapolis.
Graduate Application Checklist
This form serves as your guide to a self-managed application process. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to see that all of the materials listed below (except transcripts and GRE scores) are sent to us at one time as a complete package. Your application will be automatically sent to us when you submit it. Transcripts should be sent directly from your school and GRE scores will be sent directly to us from ETS. There are different deadlines for submitting all application materials.

Top applicants will be invited to visit the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis campus in order to interview with the faculty, meet current graduate students, and familiarize themselves with the University and the surrounding community.
Please understand that if all parts of the application are not complete, we will not be able to consider your application. Sending your materials on time insures that your application will be processed in a timely manner. You will receive a e-mail message indicating our receipt of your application materials. 1. IUPUI Graduate and Professional On–line Application
- “Departmental Questions” section required
- “Personal Statement” section required — Your 2–3 page explanation of why you want to enter this program.
- “International Students” section required for international students only
- Application fee ($50 U.S./$60 International) paid online with Visa, MasterCard or American Express
Bullet points must be completed before you submit your application online.
2. Three confidential letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation should be provided by professionals (consider faculty members, administrators, internship/co–operative education supervisors, and employers.) who are familiar with the applicant’s work and strengths.
3. Official transcripts from every college attended sent directly from your school to our department – (2 Transcripts Per College)
4. Official GRE scores sent directly to our department by ETS
5. Official TOEFL or TWE score reports (International students only)
