Graduation Requirements
Successful psychology majors know what courses they must take to graduate, when to take these courses, why they must take these courses, and how the successful completion of these courses will prepare them for their educational and occupational futures. Degree Requirements
Our department offers both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in psychology. Although the differences between these two degrees are small, it is important to be aware of them so you can choose the degree that will better prepare you for your future. The set of psychology and general education courses that you must take to graduate with a BA or BS in psychology from IUPUI varies slightly depending upon which campus bulletin was in effect when you were accepted to the School of Science. Sample Four-Year Graduation Plans for a BS or a BA in Psychology
Once you have chosen your degree (BA or BS) and determined what courses you must take to complete it, the next step is to create a semester-by-semester plan to finish your degree. General Requirements for Graduation
The final document that will enable you to graduate on schedule is the General School of Science Requirements for a BA or BS Degree in Psychology. This document informs you about important issues such as number of hours and grade point average required to graduate, residency requirements, pass/fail options, and courses for which no credit is granted.
Honors Programs
Several other documents answer questions about graduation requirements. The first answers the question, "Does the Psychology Department have an Honors Program?" The answer to that question is a definite YES, and the information you will need to understand our program is included in the IUPUI Psychology Department's Honors Program.
Your Capstone Class
Not all psychology departments require a capstone class and not all that do require a capstone provide their students with a choice of three capstone experiences like our department does. How to Earn a Minor or a Concentration in Psychology

One of the unique features of our department is that its majors can earn a concentration in one of four areas of specialization in psychology that correspond to our graduate programs. A Graduation Checklist
